What do you do when you have to ask an embarrassing or awkward question, or a question you feel you should know the answer to? Why, you ask the question and simply say that you are “asking for a friend!” The next several weeks, we will follow Jesus as he journeys toward his work of saving us in Jerusalem. As he does, we will watch and listen and learn from our Savior the answer to questions we have or questions we’ve been asked. Questions like, “Is God good?” “Does God care?” and “Do I have to be humble?” This week, as we see Jesus heal a young child who was crippled with an evil spirit, we wonder “Does God care?”
Asking for a Friend: Is God Good?

Overcoming Impossible Odds
Sharing the Gospel in Nepal and Pakistan
Our Savior is the Savior of the world! We will hear that theme echoed again and again in our readings this morning. And it is that Good News of a Savior from sin that God calls us to proclaim to the world! We do that individually as we live a godly life and talk with those near to us. We do that as a group as we support the world-wide mission efforts of our national church body, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Our guest preacher today is the coordinator of our mission efforts in Nepal and Pakistan.
In Nepal, where nearly everyone is Hindu, and in Pakistan, which is a "sea of Islam," our mission efforts are thriving. Today we rejoice in how the Holy Spirit is causing God's church to grow
like a beautiful rose in a desert.
Due to the sensitive nature of our presenter's work, there is no video of today's service.
