Preschool/Pre-K - Lesson 2: Hey Matthew, Follow Me! (January 16th, 2022)

Big Idea: Jesus wants me to follow him.

Bible Basis: Matthew 9:1-13

Key Verse: “Come (motion to come with one hand, then the other) and follow me (march in place),” Jesus said. “I will send you out (pretend to cast with fishing pole) to fish for people (pretend to reel in with fishing pole).” Matthew 4:19 (extend hands like you’re holding a book).

OPENING PRAYER

Lord, open now my heart to hear, And through your Word to me draw near. Let me your Word ever pure retain; Let me your child and heir remain. All this I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  1. What did today’s story teach you about Jesus?
