Big Idea: God is all-powerful, so I can go to him for help.
Bible Basis: Exodus 7:14-10:20
Key Verse: “Lord and King, you have reached out your great and powerful arm. You have made the heavens and the earth. Nothing is too hard for you.” Jeremiah 32:17
OPENING PRAYER
Lord, open now my heart to hear, And through your Word to me draw near. Let me your Word ever pure retain; Let me your child and heir remain. All this I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
THUMBS UP, THUMBS DOWN
Simply ask your child to share one good thing that happened today or this week (thumbs up) and one not-so-good thing (thumbs down). This is a great way to share celebrations and struggles with one another.

ASK THESE QUESTIONS
For younger kids:
In what ways were you able to see God’s power in this story?
If you were Moses, how would you have felt when God sent all of those plagues? Why?
For older kids:
What do you think this story teaches us about God?
In the Bible, it says that it was God who hardened Pharaoh’s heart so that he wouldn’t let the Israelites go. Why do you think God did this? (Look up Romans 9:17–18 to see the answer.)
REFLECT AND RESPOND
After the video, have your child pick one or more of the prompts on the GO! Home Guide.
Prayer Station prompt: Write a prayer of worship to God telling Him how wonderful and powerful He is.
Journal Station prompt: Write a letter telling God about some times you have trouble following Him. Ask him to give you the power to do what He wants you to do.
Bible Station prompt: Read it for yourself: Exodus 7:14–8:15. Write to God your favorite part of the story. Tell Him why you liked it.
Art Station prompt: Draw a picture of one of the plagues you heard about today. Below the picture, write the words, “God is all-powerful, so I can go to Him for help.”
